Aluminium

aluminium

Aluminium alloys feature a series of advantageous properties that allow them to be used in a wide range of applications.

Moreover, it is 100% recyclable. Our goal is to contribute to reducing the climate impact by fully exploiting the potential of aluminium as a low-carbon solution

characteristics

Here are the main features of aluminium forgings:
LIGHTWEIGHT
Aluminium is only one-third the weight of steel.
DURABILITY
Resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
VERSATILITY
Alloys can be adapted to a wide range of requirements due to the various heat treatments that can be applied to them and the various possibilities for alligation.
MEDIUM/HIGH MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Aluminium alloys are able to reach a mechanical strength of up to 560 MPa. The yield point of the strongest alloys is approximately 85% of their breaking strength.
WORKABILITY
This highly machinable metal is very easy to process.
SPECIFIC WEIGHT
Specific weight is about 2.7 kg/dm3.
EXCELLENT ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY
Aluminum conducts much more heat than any other metal for the same cost and weight, and its electrical conductivity is roughly twice that of copper.
EASE OF ASSEMBLY
Aluminum alloys can be assembled with keenserts, screws, and so on, and it is also possible to form structural assemblies. Melt-weldable and brazable alloys are also available.
